Still waiting and a Prayer Request

The fixing part of my laptop is taking a little longer than we thought, sooo...I probably won't be posting about Four tonight...but, hey, now you have something to look forward to this weekend, right? ;-)

Also, I would really appreciate it if you'd all pray for me. On Sunday, Seth and I are going to be singing in church. Thursday, we had a practice (which I gotta tell you, was amazing)...but today I ended up partially losing my voice. I've been resting--not talking at all/the bare minimum)--and drinking lots of fluids. But prayer is something that I would be so grateful of right now.

We're gonna be singing I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin, and I've been really praying that when we sing, we'll have God work through us. But I need to actually be able to sing....so I've been praying for that now too. Then my mom suggested I put something up here, asking for prayer, so I am. I can't tell you how blessed I'd feel if you'd all pray for me right now.

And I will rise, on eagle's wings, before my God, fall on my knees...

  1. I've got to say, Hannah, that's probably the one song that gives me shivers every time I hear it, without fail. I guess above everything else, they're shivers of anticipation. =)

    The grave is overwhelmed.

    1 Corinthians 15:42-44

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

  2. You KNOW I've been praying.

It's been so quiet at home today. It's odd having you silent. ;-)

    Love you!

  3. Oh, yes, I thought it would also be encouraging to mention that I prayed for you and Seth (Just so you know there's people out there praying for you!)!

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

(I'll pray the first part for your voice, and you can sing the second part on Sunday!)

  4. I will be praying for you.
I don't know if this will help or not but here is prayer I repeat to myself right before I go out on stage or do a state exam or do anything nerve-racking.

    Yahweh,
Stroke my head with Your warm, gentle, and scarred hands. Hold me in your arms the whole time, Lord. Never let go.
Please give Your calm, restful, and peaceful Spirit. Keep my mind clear, my nerves steady, my lungs constant, and my heart on You. Relax my jaw, it will tighten up from fear and nervousness. Keep my tears for another time, for with You by my side, I am going in there with my head held high.

    I hope it helps. Peace

  16. Praying for you, your voice and that people willingly listen during your song. I'm sure if they pay attention and let God come, He will.

  18. So glad that your voice is coming back a bit Hannah. I KNOW how hard it is for you to not talk today. Keep Tweeting. That way I know what you're thinking. Oh, and the fact that there are about 25 pieces of paper scattered throughout the house with your thoughts and needs scratched on them. :-)

I will continue to pray for you. Our God is mighty.

I am glad that you will be given another opportunity to sing in the future. Josh is very thoughtful.
