pumpkin treating.

Sam called it pumpkin treating and it was too cute to correct him. We had a sailor, pooh bear, a business man, robin hood, and a pirate. They all piled into the truck in their costumes and we headed to grandma and grandpa's house for pizza beforehand. When we finally were all ready to go pumpking treating, the sky was dark blue and the air was so clear and cold you could see your breath. Grandpa drove the tractor and pulled the wagon and we rode along sitting covered in blankets in the back. And honestly? It was pretty wonderful. There's now a huge stash of candy in several bags all over the house, and as much as I like tiramisu or apple pie, I'm a sucker for reeses peanut butter cups.

This is one of my favorite months, partially because Thanksgiving is in a few weeks (and after that, Christmas!). I'm listening to almost Christmas music (the Vince Guaraldi Holiday Trio radio is playing nearly 24/7 on pandora) and wishing for snow. Happy November!
